I might be writing a paper for my advanced grammar class (linguistics) on either the usage of English in Japan, or the Japanification of English words / adoption of punctuation... or why English is "cool" in Japan. Or all three.

Would you mind helping me out if I decide to do that?

I'd be happy to help. Man, I did a thesis style paper on apologies in Japanese for my final English class. Had to interview like 20 people and shit, was kind of terrible.

There was like this school newspaper thing at a school school I worked at, and there were several Christmas related surveys...

One of them was, "When I say Christmas song, you think...?"

and I swear, more than 10 people said "The KFC song"

1. I did not know there was a KFC song.
2. I did not know that a song put out by the people at Kentucky Fried Chicken could become so significant that it would to come to represent Christmas for Japanese people.

so anyway, back to your thing!
